Quote: Word in motion
When we see someone dance with their variation of movements such as feet, hand, body, head and knee. The usual observation was to wait till a big stance show up. Honestly, that’s what we want to see in dancing. That’s how we get interest to it. We tend to look something that will make us mesmerize or in wonder of the way the dancer perform.
The dance is a poem of which each movement is a word.
– Mata Hari
Not only the variation of movement are in display but also their character. Every dance have its origin — own identity. There are dances that are used for rituals. Tribal dance is another form of identity. Religious offerings, Dance ceremonies in palace and as an entertainment in social gatherings. Dance develop and continue to develop through the years.
Today, we see different style in contemporary dance and hiphop. Breakdancing and other dance craze that are showing up in social media. We see competitions after competitions of dancers nationwide — even worldwide. Such dedication are invested to keep this art as part of human culture.
What I mostly admire in dancing is the way the performer communicate using different style of dance to make it more dynamic. Such performers know how to keep their audience entertained and valued. Dancing is very broad in technical aspect of the term. But putting it on the stage is an art where expertise of such knows very well what they want their audience to see.
Just like writers who write to convey their thought for their readers so is dancing who perform to express their heart for their audience. Isn’t it amazing? watching a person overcome with joy start jumping, shaking and even dancing.
